Nanjing International School prioritises Child Protection.
Child protection is of the upmost importance as it ensures the safety and well-being of their students. School is a vital part of a child's life, and creating a secure environment is crucial to safeguard them from potential harm, abuse, or exploitation. By prioritising child protection, schools not only fulfill their legal obligations but also create a conducive atmosphere for learning and overall development. When students feel safe, they can focus better on their studies and social interactions, laying the groundwork for a success and a love of learning.
Nanjing International School, in keeping with the NIS Mission, is committed to Child Protection. As such, procedures have been developed to guide our staff and families in matters related to the health, safety, and care of children enrolled at our school. NIS Child Protection procedures are based on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, of which China is a signatory.

Safety at our International School in Nanjing
By enroling their children at NIS, parents agree to work in partnership with the school and abide by the procedures adopted by NIS. We genuinely value the partnership with our parents in providing for the safety and care of their children. Child protection is an integral part of our overall educational programs and specific to our shared responsibility to educate children, to protect them, and to learn and grow in a safe environment.
