Sports Teams News
Our young footballers from Grade 4 to Grade 8 travelled to Suzhou last weekend to participate in their final tournament of the year. What a fantastic way to finish off a great season with games from schools across Jiangsu. All our players did themselves and NIS proud with their displays of our core athletic values of Teamwork, Respect and Commitment.
Meanwhile, our Cross Country season also comes to an end this week with a final ACAMIS trip to SSIS, Suzhou. We have a large group of incredibly dedicated runners running today (Friday) in their respective competitions. We know that all their hard work over the season will have paid off and we hope that they can all achieve their very best run of the season.
Finally, if you have not yet signed up for CISSA Volleyball season then there is still time! Come and give it a go, you might just love it. Sign up on Veracross.

Performing Arts News
It’s still November, but the choir’s winter holiday concert series has officially started. On Monday, their first performance was at the Shangri-La Hotel Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony. The students put on a great show in a bustling foyer, with travellers coming and going. They even squeezed in a giant Hamley bear on stage with them! The choir presented a varied programme, with holiday classics like Silent Night and cult favourites like Theme from Elf. The highlight of the show was their 4-part harmony performance of “Merry Everything,” which is a holiday song about inclusion that was initially commissioned by the San Francisco Gay Men’s Choir. If you’d like to hear the choir performing, there are still plenty of opportunities. They have two more hotels: the Nanjing International Club Charity Christmas Festival, NIS’s winter concert, and NIS’s winter assembly. The choir is very busy but well prepared to entertain. We hope to see you soon!
