Nanjing International School offers students at all grade levels opportunities to participate in 10 different inclusive, competitive sports.
Student Activities
Student Activities are offered to Pre-K to Grade 5 students in our Primary School. These can include culture, crafts, performing arts, and sports. In Secondary School, our students participate in clubs, as well as performing arts and service, each helping them to develop interests and skills as well as find opportunities for student leadership and personal excellence.
Each activity is open to a specified range of grades and may vary year on year. Primary School activities run on 7-week cycles. Secondary activities will normally run either all year round or a part of the year in preparation for a performance or event. Take a look at our offerings!

NIS Student Activities Committee (NISSAC)
NISSAC is a group of students in Grade 9-12 who actively participate in the Activities Programme offered at NIS. Under the supervision of the Activities team, NISSAC helps organize events such as the Sports Celebration Evenings and ACAMIS Competitions hosted at NIS. NISSAC exemplifies our school Strategy goals of Student’s Voice and Student Choice. The collaboration between NISSAC and the Activities tam allows the exchange of students’ innovative ideas and teachers’ expertise, leading to many student-friendly events and activities.
Service is an established part of our IB school curriculum for all grade levels. We believe that involving oneself in and out of school in service activities adds to one's personal excellence and further develops NIS as an inclusive community.
Our Community Activities Programme has been designed to support all members of our NIS Community. There is a wide range of activities throughout the school year for parents and students.
