NIS Sports Teams Programme
Welcome to another exciting year of sports at Nanjing International School. We are looking forward to fun and competition in 2023-24. Please keep the schedule below for reference throughout the year.

Sports Competitions
- ACAMIS: This is our main China-wide sports conference for Grade 9-12.
- CISSA: Based in Shanghai, there are two age groups – Junior (Grade 4-6) and Senior (Grade 7-8)
- SCISAC: We participate in 3 tournaments a year in Volleyball, Basketball, and Football for Grade 7-9.
- Shanghai Swim League: This league includes Shanghai, Suzhou, and Nanjing. There are swim competitions in SSL throughout the year.
- ISNAC: This is our local International Schools of Nanjing Activities Conference. The sports and age groups will vary according to the availability of local competition.
Additional Information
- Sign-ups: Sign-ups for sports are done via SchoolsBuddy in the week leading up to the start of the season.
- Philosophy: Inclusion is central. We want all our athletes to have a positive experience from being part of a team.
- Selections: All students in CISSA participate equally. Older teams are selective and, depending on numbers trying out, cuts may have to be made.
- Costs: Our Schedule above includes cost estimates. Some of these trips are eligible for a subsidy of up to 1600 RMB (one per year).
