The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) welcomes, connects and supports parents/guardians, teachers/staff and students at NIS in the spirit of promoting a collaborative and inclusive school community.

Our amazing PTA works to create and maintain an invaluable connection between our families and NIS faculty and staff. Led by parent members and supported by a large circle of community volunteers, the PTA strives to help build a strong and vibrant school. Annually, the NIS PTA organises a broad number of inclusive community events to foster NIS spirit, promote cultural exchanges, and raise funds for student and community activities.

Regular meetings and PTA Coffee Mornings are held in the Centre Cafe during the year to help keep our parent community connected with the school.

Grade 6-10 PTA Sports Night

Our free Grade 6–10 Sports Night was a great success! Open to students only, with no sign-up required, the event welcomed more than 90 students.

Grade 11 & 12 PTA Dances

Each year, students from Grades 11 and 12 come together for an unforgettable Graduation Dance! Get ready to dress up, enjoy a special buffet at a beautiful hotel, dance the night away with all your classmates, and capture the memories that make this milestone truly special before heading off to university.

PTA Birthday Cupcakes

There is no sweeter way to start the day than with a birthday cupcake! The PTA ensures that NIS students and staff celebrating their birthdays enjoy a delicious cupcake to make their day extra special.

NIS PTA Scavenger Hunt

What a lead-up to Children’s Day! After school last Friday, our amazing PTA organised a scavenger hunt in the Early Years playground for Pre-K to Grade 1.

A World in One Day: International Day 2026

We celebrated International Day at NIS with around 1000 members of our inclusive learning community: 25+ nations, colourful performances, and vibrant cultural experiences – all made possible by our amazing PTA and 160+ volunteers bringing us together to experience the world in a day!

Faculty Appreciation Day at NIS was a vibrant celebration of the people who inspire, guide, and support our learners every day.

Spook-tacular PTA Autumn Festival

Food, fun, and frights! The PTA Autumn Festival is one of our most popular and highly anticipated community events each calendar year. From mouth-watering sweet and savoury treats to carnival games, a haunted house, and costume and pumpkin contests, our campus came alive with spooky delights for our entire inclusive learning community to enjoy.

Grade 2-5 Glowtopia Dance Highlights

The NIS PTA hosted their record-breaking G2-5 Glowtopia Dance, where 90 Primary students enjoyed beats, treats, and face painting. Thanks to parent and teacher volunteers for making it a truly magical after-school afternoon!

Brewing up Community and Caring with PTA Coffee Mornings

Our first PTA Coffee Morning of the 2025–26 school year was a big success, with over 100 community members in attendance! These gatherings are a fantastic opportunity for both new and returning NIS parents to connect with our school and one another.
