Activities

Learning Beyond the Classroom

From Early Years to Grade 12, activities are an integral part of the overall education process at NIS. In the pursuit of creating balanced lifestyles, our inclusive programme provides opportunities for our students to participate in a range of activities that help them discover, develop, and pursue their passions.

A Look Inside Our Activities Programme

Opportunity. Passion. Inclusivity.

"NIS offers a wide range of activities and experiences for students in Grades 1-12 with the goal of providing our students with opportunities 0utside the classroom to achieve personal excellence, develop creative thinking, and promote international mindedness."

10 sports. 150 different activities to choose from. Pre-K to 12 Swimming programme. Dozens of student clubs and service opportunities. The Arts for all ages.

In a safe learning and playing environment, students explore their passions and can develop leadership skills and camaraderie while exhibiting teamwork, respect and commitment.

The activities we offer are as diverse as our community. They vary from year to year based on student demand and teacher passion and expertise.

Activities in Primary and Secondary School

Each Student Activity is open to a specified range of grades.

In Primary School, activities follow four 7-week cycles. The Primary School choir is an exception, which runs the whole year in preparation for performances at NIS and in our community. Student Activities are divided into Sports & Movement, Arts & Crafts, Life Skills & Games and Performing Arts.

There is a range of activities for Secondary students to get involved in - from Orchestra to MUN to Student-Led Hip Hop Dance to Yearbook. These activities can run for a cycle, a whole semester, or an entire academic year.

Most NIS activities are offered after school, but some take place during lunch. Visit our different Activities programmes to learn more.
