Lights, colors, ACTION! The NIS Primary Production “Panto Pandemonium” was the dazzling culmination of months of hard work by our Primary students and Performing Arts faculty. Every student from Grades 2-5 played an important role in the performances – either on stage or as part of the theatre crew.

The NIS International Women’s Day Breakfast 2024 was an inclusive event run by students and teacher mentors that welcomed all members of our community. It was a fun-filled morning of bright and brilliant perspectives, delivered in a multilingual medium.
Combining inquiry and environmental stewardship, Grade 2 students at NIS deepened their understanding of sustainability through the organisation of a Secondhand Sale. This learning showcase was a practical application of their current Unit of Inquiry, "How We Organise Ourselves – exploring waste creation and management, as well as the critical relationship between waste and natural resources.
Last week, NIS hosted the South China International Schools Athletic Conference (SCISAC) Volleyball Tournament. 5 schools from across Southern China journeyed to Nanjing with their best Middle School volleyball players to battle it out in 3 days of intense competition.
What a way for our Grade 1s to experience their Unit of Inquiry on Storytelling! In the immersive environment of our Mandarin Department’s Hutong learning space, students were treated to traditional Chinese shadow puppet performances.
