Being prepared
Thank you to the many parents that took time to attend the Teams sessions for Primary, Middle and Upper School parents on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. I hope parents feel much better prepared for Distance Learning than at this time last year. Teachers are also working with students so that they feel ready for any change. The Year of the Ox
We are looking forward to our Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations on Wednesday, February 10. Unfortunately, parents will not be able to join us on campus, but will be able to watch a livestream of the assemblies. Of the many characteristics I have read about regarding those born in the Year of the Ox it is their ability to overcome hurdles and show determination that I admire most. These are qualities that we all need to help us move forward to better times with great optimism. I, for one, am looking forward to a wonderful Year of the Ox.

我们正期待着2月10日(星期三)校园内中国农历牛年新春的庆祝活动。遗憾的是家长们不能进入校园参加此次活动，但可以在线观看活动的现场直播。在我所读到的有关牛年生人的许多特征中，就有提到他们克服障碍以及坚定信念的能力。这正是我们所需的品质，可以帮助我们豁达地走向未来更好的时代。愿如我所期，迎来一个精彩的牛年。

2월 10일 수요일에 구정 새해 맞이 축하를 할 계획입니다. 안타깝게도 학부모님을 학교에 모시지 못하지만 어셈블리를 라이브 스트리밍으로 보실 수 있습니다. 소의 해에 태어난 인물의 특징에 관하여 역경을 극복하고 투지를 보여주는 능력에 관하여 읽을 수 있었습니다. 이런 자질은 낙천적인 태도와 함께 저희가 더 나은 시기로 나아갈 수 있도록 돕는데 필요한 것입니다. 저부터 정말로 멋진 신축년을 보낼 수 있기를 기대합니다.

Primary Post
This past Wednesday it was delightful to see our students and parents walking together through our hallways. I could hear parents asking their child questions about paintings and photographs on our wall. I listened to students enthusiastically explain their thinking of work hanging up on display near their classroom spaces. Our 3-Way Conferences were a wonderful time to further connect to the learning during Semester One. For some of our new students who have just arrived since coming back from the Winter Holiday, it was the first time for them to meet and become even better acquainted with their teachers.
If parents are seeking further conversations with teachers after this week, they may do so via email, phone call, or through virtual meetings. We want to make sure we can be available in a multitude of ways to continue important conversations and help you feel informed about your child’s learning.
Proactive Preparations: Thank you for helping students be prepared in case we should move to Phase Three and our Distance Learning plan. Phase Three of our campus access means that students would not be allowed on campus, and therefore we would continue with instruction and learning using the SeeSaw app, and Microsoft Teams meetings app. If you have not yet updated these apps on your child’s iPad or laptop, please do so now. Our teachers and Technology Department will be doing a final check on devices next week.
And finally, be sure to join us next Wednesday February 10th at 8:10 am to view the Primary School’s Lunar New Year Assembly. Although parents will not have access to campus, you can celebrate our welcome to the Year of the Ox via the live stream from our school website.

Feeling a bit lost with ManageBac? Need help trying to figure out how to repair your child's device? Or maybe you're helping run a PTA event at school and need some tech support. Whatever the issue may be, please don't hesitate to contact our IT Support Team by submitting a request through our IT-Help site (found also on the Parent section of MY-NIS on the school website).
Please make sure to be specific in your request, include screenshots or photos of the issue, and fill in the requested information boxes. Please give us around 24 hours for a response. We look forward to further supporting our community.
