The first round of the NIS Swim Series for the 2023-2024 swim season created quite a splash, showcasing competitive swimming within our amazing NIS Activities programme. Our student swimmers, organized into squads based on age and ability, embark on a year-round journey of learning and development, nurturing a blend of performance and teamwork skills.
Members of the Transition, Bronze, Silver, and Gold teams recently came together to participate in 100m and 50m races in our 25 metre pool. Despite having resumed training for just a month, our swimmers displayed remarkable progress, achieving numerous personal bests and having a great time throughout the races. For some, this meet marked their debut in competitive swimming—an achievement to be celebrated. The success of such an event wouldn't have been possible without the generous support of our dedicated volunteers. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making the meet a reality!
Our journey continues with more exciting competitions on the horizon. These opportunities to face off against fellow international school swim teams are facilitated by our memberships in the prestigious Shanghai Swim League, ACAMIS, and ISNAC athletic conferences.
