NIS Podcast: New Secondary Physics Teacher: Shaqeel Baksh

Join us as we get to know Nanjing International School's new MYP and DP Physics Teacher, Mr. Shaqeel Baksh.

“There is no such thing as a stupid question in learning. I aim to create a safe space where the moment students walk into my classroom, they feel comfort. They feel comfortable raising their hand to ask what in their mind might not be a smart question.”

Mr. Baksh will be teaching MYP and DP Physics. He is presently teaching AP Physics and STEM at an international school in Hangzhou. Mr. Baksh has a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from University of West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago, where he is also qualified as a teacher. He has previously worked in other schools in China and in Trinidad and Tobago. Mr. Baksh is a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago.

Nanjing International School is excited to welcome 18 new faculty into our inclusive learning community for the upcoming 2022-23 school year.
