Wren Tour USA College Fair at NIS: Inspiring Future Pathways

From our University and Career Counsellor, Ms. Pearl Noh

We were delighted to welcome representatives from 11 diverse US colleges and universities to our campus for a dynamic college exploration event. This meaningful opportunity reflected the diversity of interests, ambitions, and future pathways of our students.

Many of our high school students attended the fair, along with several enthusiastic younger students who joined after the University and Career Counselling (UCC) Education Session for students and parents. It was wonderful to see such strong engagement across year levels, with students eagerly interacting with university admissions representatives and learning more about programmes, campus life, and application pathways.

We were also grateful to receive highly positive feedback from parents, who rated the event 4.8 out of 5. Parents highlighted the event timeline, action plans, and UCC handbooks as especially valuable resources. As reflective educators, we deeply value parent and student feedback and use every opportunity to strengthen and improve our practice.

Students and families shared how informative and inspiring they found the sessions, with many expressing interest in attending more college fairs in the future. Our visiting university representatives also praised the preparedness of NIS students and commented on the warm, welcoming culture they experienced on campus. They noted the school’s inclusive, best-fit approach, as well as the genuine care shown for students’ diverse interests, passions, and aspirations.

At NIS, our UCC strategy places Student Voice and Student Choice at the centre of the guidance process, fully aligned with our whole-school mission and values.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all admissions representatives for their support, partnership, and dedication to guiding NIS students. We look forward to welcoming you back to campus again in the future!
