What’s in an NIS Assembly?
Assemblies at Nanjing International School are dynamic events where student voices shine and our entire inclusive learning community comes together. From thought-provoking speeches to captivating performances, these gatherings reflect the vibrant culture of NIS, bringing excitement and energy to the end of a school week. Adding to this is the fun and friendly spirit of House Challenges, with updates for Primary and competitive activities in Secondary that build teamwork, personal excellence, and school pride.
What makes NIS assemblies truly special is the open invitation to parents. These events offer another valuable opportunity for our school to connect with families, allowing them to witness firsthand the achievements, creativity, and collaboration that their children experience every day. By inviting parents into this space, NIS strengthens the home-school partnership and fosters a sense of shared pride in the school’s diverse and talented community.

Our October Professional Learning Days were full of teacher-led workshops and sessions, with very special guest speaker Ewan McIntosh, the learning consultant behind our award-winning school Strategy, as well as Philip Idle and Chloe Summers, the architects at EIW who designed the HUB!

Dazzling! Our first PTA dance of the year, Colors of the World, was a neon extravaganza of fun and fancy moves. Grades 2-5, and even students from Early Years, lit up our Black Box with their excitement and energy.
