Starting the Year with Student Voice!
Our first Primary and Secondary Assemblies of the year brought our community together to welcome students back, build school spirit, share what’s ahead – and bring plenty of joy along the way.
At NIS, assemblies aren’t simply for students. They're shaped and led by them! From student MCs and performances to Student Council planning, activities, and opportunities to get involved, our students have a genuine voice in the life of their school.
What a way to start the year – it’s Student Voice and Student Choice and Burst the Bubble in action: creating opportunities for students to lead, contribute, connect across our community and turn their ideas into action.

NIS Music Camp activities always serve as an important kickoff to the performance season, allowing students to get a sense of the repertoire they will be exposed to during the year and giving new members a chance to get to know their music peers.

Beyond rankings and acceptance letters, NIS Higher Education Night explored what student success really means: helping students build ownership, curiosity, resilience and integrity while discovering pathways that reflect who they are.

Science is rarely confined to a single subject – and neither are the challenges our students are learning to solve!
Our NIS Collaborative Science Project brought together Grade 12 Biology, Chemistry, and Physics students in interdisciplinary teams to investigate real-world scientific scenarios based on United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
