Our first House events of the year brought energy, excitement, and plenty of House pride to NIS!

We kicked off with the Whole School House Chant Competition, which saw Houses Xuanwu, Taiping, and Wutaishan showcase their unity, creativity, participation, and spirit through chants developed and led by our House Captains. We then returned to an old favourite with Primary’s traditional tug-of-war, as students worked together and enthusiastically cheered on their housemates across year levels.

The NIS House system is about much more than just competition. It strengthens our inclusive community, inspires teamwork, creative thinking, and personal excellence. The House system creates meaningful opportunities for our award-winning learning strategy of Student Voice and Student Choice and Burst the Bubble to be applied outside the classroom.
