Our October Professional Learning Days were full of teacher-led workshops and sessions, with very special guest speaker Ewan McIntosh, the learning consultant behind our award-winning school Strategy, as well as Philip Idle and Chloe Summers, the architects at EIW who designed the HUB! Our faculty learned more about how our fantastic new spaces can be utilised and the innovative philosophy behind their creation.

Nanjing International School hosted its first ACAMIS VEX V5 Robotics Scrimmage. With custom-built and programmed robots for the 2024-25 “VEX High Stakes” season, 140 students and coaches from schools across China descended upon NIS ready to do battle. Over the day, 26 separate teams fought their way through the qualifying matches, narrowing the field down to 8 alliance teams for the finals.
Our 9-and-under swimmers held the first Shanghai Swim League Development Swim meet of the season in Nanjing. The development swim meets stand for participation and fun with only a small competitive aspect – young swimmers come together and share their passion for swimming, cultivating a culture of lifelong participation in aquatic activities.
Our Counselling team offered sessions for Primary and Secondary parents focusing on growth mindset and resilience, with practical social-emotional learning strategies at home to help manage emotions and prepare students for the future
