Primary Junior Ambassadors Design for Inclusion
By Quinnesian Joyner, NIS Primary Counsellor
In an inspiring demonstration of leadership and collaboration, a group of student-led Junior Ambassadors in Primary School embarked on a meaningful initiative to design a T-shirt that symbolised their commitment to fostering community engagement and support among our students.
The project began with establishing the need for a unifying design, followed by submissions, and then a voting process to select who would lead our t-shirt initiative. It was unanimous that Arena in Grade 3 would take the lead. As feedback flowed in, we engaged in a series of weekly reviews and revisions as a group, ensuring that every voice was heard before seeking final approval. Ultimately, the design showcases a friendly lion that represents strength, heart, and a global perspective, encapsulating the essence of our community spirit!
The T-shirt project not only helped to deepen inclusion students to embrace their roles as risk-takers and leaders, reinforcing the ideals of partnership in creating a supportive environment for all.
