Personal Excellence at Primary School Variety Show 2025

From classical performances to energetic dance routines, this year’s Primary School Variety Show brought the stage to life with a dazzling display of talent, imagination, and courage. Students from Grades 1-5 shared their passions through music, movement, and performance – each act a reflection of their unique voice and choice. Whether performing a piano solo, ballet, or jump rope choreography, each student took ownership of their learning and creativity, expressing themselves with confidence and joy.

At NIS, the Primary Variety Show is a living example of our strategy in action. Through Student Voice and Student Choice, learners took the lead in shaping their acts, collaborating with peers, and challenging themselves to share something meaningful with our community. This spirit of self-expression and courage embodies what it means to Burst the Bubble: to step beyond comfort zones and inspire others through personal excellence.

“The show was a joyful celebration of commitment and risk-taking,” said Ms. Jacqui Patrick, Primary School Principal. “When I was at school, we called these assemblies ‘Talent Shows’. But these performances are not about talent; they reflect hours of practice and a perseverance to refine and improve.”

In celebrating each performer’s journey, the Variety Show reminded us that when students are trusted to follow their passions, they not only learn new skills but also strengthen their confidence.

“Whether on stage or in the classroom, learning to set goals that are challenging yet realistic, manage time, and demonstrate persistence are powerful life lessons,” said Ms. Patrick.
