ParentED: Child Protection & Safeguarding

As part of our ParentED series and commitment to child protection, NIS recently offered our parent community essential knowledge and tools about child protection and safeguarding. These included understanding safeguarding at school, recognising signs of harm, effective communication with their children about safety, and empowering parents to support their children's well-being.

"It was wonderful to engage in rich dialogue about how we can collaborate as a school community to ensure our students have a safe learning environment," said Ms. Sandra Chow, NIS Director of Learning.

Child protection is vital at NIS as it ensures the safety and well-being of our students. School is a vital part of a child's life, and creating a secure environment is crucial to safeguard them from potential harm, abuse, or exploitation. By prioritising child protection, schools create a conducive atmosphere for learning and overall development. When students feel safe, they can focus better on their studies and social interactions, laying the groundwork for a success and a love of learning.
