Fright-tastic Autumn Festival 2024
It’s one of our biggest community events of the year! The highly-anticipated PTA Autumn Festival at NIS is a spooky good time when our inclusive learning community gets together to connect over costumes, activities for all ages, and delicious food. This year, almost our entire community joined the festival, making it a huge success!
Highlights included our student-run haunted house and yummy food from our Chinese and Korean parents, as well as treats from Skyways. Besides a spine-tingling menagerie of costumed children and adults, 60 cute and scary pumpkins carved by our students were also on display for the PTA’s annual pumpkin-carving competition.
Students, staff, and parents came together to bring the festival to life, making it a true community celebration that honored our diversity, student voice, and creativity. Attendees enjoyed crowd-favorite activities like face-painting, an energetic costume parade, and interactive games that entertained people of all ages throughout the day.
In line with NIS’s commitment to international-mindedness, the festival also included nods to various cultural traditions, celebrating the spirit of Halloween alongside other seasonal festivities. Families and friends had a blast posing in costume at designated photo-op spots, capturing the memories of a day filled with fun and frights.
Huge thanks to our amazing PTA volunteers for organizing this event and dressing up our school for an afternoon and evening of school spirit and autumn delight!
