Even without students and teachers, our campus is a very busy place over the summer holiday. As Nanjing’s only non-profit, fully-accredited international school, everything goes into improving our students’ educational experience – and part of that dedication is constantly upgrading our world-class facilities. This year’s NIS summer projects focused on our ongoing commitment to child protection.

We greatly expanded our campus entry facial recognition systems for the safety and convenience of our inclusive learning community, now installed at every entry point, including our pool’s changing rooms, which have expanded with a complete overhaul.

Our Fitness Room has been renovated and now has a fantastic lineup of brand new machines for our community to use. Also at the Centre, a new, expansive bike and scooter shed is already assisting parents, students, and staff with transportation to and from NIS, complete with charging stations for E-bikes.

Finally, we replaced the lighting in all classrooms with LED lights that have higher illuminance and are more energy-efficient, helping to promote better study and eye health.

In addition to these exciting upgrades, NIS was buzzing with regular maintenance of our buildings, community and learning spaces, as well as our sports facilities. We welcome you to visit NIS and experience why our campus is just one of the reasons we inspire!
