NIS Wins Gold in International Marketing Awards

Nanjing International School is proud to announce that our newly redesigned website has earned two Gold 2023 InspirED School Marketers Brilliance Awards – a clean sweep of the entire Website category!

The US-based InspirED Brilliance Awards is the only global marketing and communications competition exclusively for private and independent schools, representing a prestigious honour in the international education community. Each year, top schools enter to showcase the most innovative and effective marketing practices from around the world.

This year, almost 100 schools and the companies that represented them entered the Brilliance Awards. Entries were judged by a volunteer panel of 88 international marketing experts who are professionals in private schools or businesses that specialise in school marketing. The entries were scored on originality, persuasiveness, copy/script/dialog, visual elements, execution, and overall appeal.

Our website redesign and homepage each earned a Gold award. Judges were inspired by our world-class design, content, and user experience:

“This was a great example of best practices. It not only included an amazing visual presentation but also truly presented clear benefits and engaging content about the school on the home page.”

“NIS created a very thoughtfully designed site that succeeds in both being clear and consistent with its mission and messaging while also inviting curiosity and exploration. There is abundant creativity between the testimonial videos, horizontal scrolls, and more...” 

“Colorful and inviting, your homepage just makes the user want to explore more. High marks especially for your video testimony carousel. The animation on scroll functionality gives your site a unique and interactive feel that is becoming more popular, but you're on the leading edge of this functionality. Well done!”

The redesigned NIS website, which launched early last October, also earned the distinction of being named one of Finalsite’s best websites of 2023. The project was led by Mr. Kyle Bueschlen, Head of Communications and Marketing at NIS, in partnership with Finalsite and with support from NIS leadership, faculty, staff, and the community.

"This recognition highlights the passion and hard work that goes into every aspect of our mission-centred communication strategy,” said Mr. Bueschlen. “It’s so rewarding to know that our innovative approach to telling our school's story resonates so strongly within the international education community."

“Our website is our face to the world," said Mr. Laurie McLellan, School Director. "We wanted to capture the atmosphere on campus at NIS which should reflect two key elements: community and inclusion. Our diverse student body are the heart of our school, and they are truly given voice in our website.”

The Brilliance Awards are sponsored by InspirED School Marketers, a community that provides “brilliant ideas and brain food” for private school administrators worldwide.
