NIS Scores at SCISAC Basketball Tournament

NIS hosted 4 international schools at the SCISAC U15 Basketball Tournament. NIS entered 2 teams for each gender this year, totalling 43 players who participated in a combined 26 high-octane games.

NIS came away from the tournament with 4 trophies: Boys 1st place, Girls 3rd place and 2 Most Sporting Awards, which is recognition of how our teams demonstrate the core values of teamwork, respect, and commitment.

“When we host a tournament, our community comes together to help support and provide a wonderful experience for all, both inside and outside NIS,” said Mr. Ben Dutton, NIS Athletics Director. “From players, coaches, parents, facilities, leadership and all community members, everyone blends their time and expertise to ensure the smooth running of the tournament.”

The essence of these conferences is making connections with people outside our school community and giving our students the chance to Burst the Bubble and develop global citizenship as they interact with different nationalities and locations through the medium of sport.

SCISAC is the South China International Schools Athletics Conference in which each school participates in 3 core sports: Football, Volleyball and Basketball.
