NIS Counsellor Recognised by ISCA

Our own Secondary Counsellor, Ruben Joyner, was recently recognised in Prague by the International School Counsellor Association (ISCA) for his work at NIS.

This recognition, shared during International School Counsellor Week 2026, celebrates the vital role counsellors play in supporting student wellbeing, belonging, and care across international school communities. Often working quietly behind the scenes, their impact is felt in the moments that matter most – when students need stability, connection, and care.

At NIS, ISCA noted that Mr. Joyner's work has helped shape a culture where students feel seen, supported, and empowered. From building sustainable systems of care to fostering authentic student voice and inclusion, his impact has reached across our entire community.

While we celebrate this well-deserved recognition, we also take this moment to acknowledge all of our counsellors at NIS. Each one plays a vital role in creating a caring and inclusive environment where every student can thrive!
