NIS Celebrates International Women’s Day

“IWD belongs to everyone, everywhere. Inclusion means all IWD action is valid.”

-International Women’s Day 2024

International Women’s Day (IWD) is an annual celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, a powerful reminder of the progress made toward gender parity – and the work still to do.

International Women's Day Breakfast has been held at NIS every year for the past eight years. It is a central event in supporting inclusion and personal excellence. As an inclusive learning community, NIS fully supports the IWD goals to empower women, advocate for gender parity, and stop all forms of discrimination against women and girls.

As in past years, the International Women’s Day Breakfast 2024 was an inclusive event run by students and teacher mentors that welcomed all members of our community. It was a fun-filled morning of bright and brilliant perspectives, delivered in a multilingual medium. Take a look at some of the fantastic highlights below!

We celebrate IWD today and every day at NIS: IWD at our school is central to promoting collective action for justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
