Grade 3 recently wrapped up their unit of inquiry entitled "How We Express Ourselves" with an exciting art exhibition in the HUB, marking our school’s first learning share in this vibrant space. Students showcased a diverse range of artistic talents, including stop-motion animations set in imaginative caves, eye-catching 3D art installations, and time-lapse videos that documented their creative processes. Additionally, some students even composed poignant poems to accompany their artwork, enriching the overall experience.
Parents were thrilled to attend, with feedback that highlighted their children’s confidence and communication. One parent remarked, "I was amazed at how articulate the kids were when sharing their art," while another noted, "The atmosphere really impressed me." Many expressed a newfound appreciation for the idea that "We are all artists in our own way."
The exhibition not only celebrated the students’ hard work but also showcased the HUB as a dynamic space for creativity and collaboration. It emphasized Student Voice, Student Choice, and personal excellence, allowing each learner to express themselves authentically and take pride in their unique contributions. The Grade 3 exhibition was a notable success, reinforcing the importance of community and self-expression in the learning journey.
