Exploring Futures: Work Experience Week

From laboratories to cafes, to design studios and global companies, our Grade 10 students spent the annual NIS Work Experience Week exploring the world beyond the classroom. After taking the initiative to secure placements that matched their interests, student-interns gained hands-on experience across a remarkable range of fields in Nanjing, around China, and even as far as Germany – including medicine, engineering, technology, media, business, hospitality, and the arts.

Whether working alongside scientists, supporting creative projects, learning from entrepreneurs, or experiencing life inside international corporations, our students stepped out of their comfort zones and into authentic workplaces, exemplifying our award-winning learning Strategy of Student Voice, Student Choice, and Burst the Bubble.

What a powerful way to connect learning with life, discover new passions, and begin shaping future goals. Take a look!
