Empowering Inclusion: International Women’s Day Breakfast 2025

“We celebrate all women, in all their diversities. We embrace their facets and intersections of faith, race, ethnicity, identity, or disability. We celebrate those who came before us, those who stand beside us now, and those who will come after.” – United Nations on International Women’s Day 2025

International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. At NIS, it is an opportunity to reflect on progress and reaffirm our commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI). Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do, and our annual International Women’s Day Breakfast is a powerful expression of this commitment.

Now in its ninth year, the IWD Breakfast continues to be a cherished event, bringing together students, teachers, staff, and the broader NIS community in a spirit of solidarity and celebration. Led by student voices and teacher mentors, the event is a vibrant and multilingual showcase of perspectives, highlighting the strength and achievements of women both within and beyond our school.

At NIS, inclusion is action. By celebrating IWD, we reinforce our dedication to creating a world where every woman and girl – regardless of background, identity, or ability – has the opportunity to thrive. Take a look at some of the inspiring moments from this year’s event below!
