Class of 2024 Early University Acceptances
The first round of early university acceptances for Grade 12 at Nanjing International School are in! Our students have not only gained early acceptance to world-renowned universities and specialised programmes, but also their first choices for higher education, with an incredible range of diversity in fields of study. These achievements reflect the dedication and hard work of our students and are further complemented by the numerous scholarship offers they have received.
“The Class of 2024 is an exceptional group, full of diverse talents and interests,” said Ms. Pear Noh, University Counsellor. “They are the first cohort to have benefited from our three-year university counseling programme, which has provided extensive support since Grade 10, guiding them in subject choices and nurturing their unique voices and dreams.”
The areas of study chosen by our students are truly impressive, spanning various fields like Economics, Marine Biology, Music Composition, Physics, Sports Management, Psychology, Zoology, Film and Media, Industrial Design, Social Justice, Ecology, and more.
“Instead of solely prioritising rankings, our seniors have demonstrated an international mindset that exhibits qualities of continuous learning and strategic thinking,” explained Ms. Noh. “Each student has embarked on their own journey, making programme and regional choices that align with their personal goals.”
The Class of 2024 has applied to diverse colleges and universities in 18 countries around the world, including the USA, UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Italy, New Zealand, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Singapore.
“It has been my privilege to support this cohort from the beginning, and I am excited to continue guiding them through the application journey,” said Ms. Noh.
Since our first graduating class in 2001, collaboration among NIS students, teachers, counsellors, and parents aims at more than just acceptance to top-ranked universities. It’s about student voice and student choice as well as personalised support to find the best-fit university or next step for each individual that is suited to their goals and passions.
