Celebrating Diversity and Belonging: International Day at NIS
Nanjing International School came alive with the colours, sounds, and flavours of the world as over 1000 members of our inclusive learning community gathered to celebrate International Day 2025 on a beautiful spring day.
This year’s event was a joyful reflection of the diversity that defines NIS. Families, students, and staff came together to represent their countries, each sharing traditions, clothing, music, activities, and cuisine that offered a glimpse into unique cultures and backgrounds. The atmosphere was one of warmth, joy, and connection, where we celebrated our shared values of belonging and international mindedness.
From the parade of flags to performances by students, parents, faculty, and staff, the day highlighted what makes NIS truly special: the power of community and the strength found in our diversity.
This incredible event would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our amazing PTA, dedicated country volunteers, and the support of our staff. Their commitment and creativity transformed our extraordinary campus into a global village filled with food, fun, and sharing, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all who attended.
At NIS, inclusion is more than a value – it’s a way of life. International Day is one of many ways we honour the rich identities within our school and create space for every voice to be heard.
