Parent Life
NIS parents are part of a diverse and inclusive community that has members from all across the world. It is a supportive and enriching experience that has been bringing people together from all walks of life for over 30 years. From our PTA to Community Activities and a home on campus in our Centre building, the spirit of our NIS community thrives in all that we do.
Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) welcomes, connects and supports parents/guardians, teachers/staff and students at NIS in the spirit of promoting a collaborative and inclusive school community.
Our amazing PTA works to create and maintain an invaluable connection between our families and NIS faculty and staff. Led by parent members and supported by a large circle of community volunteers, the PTA strives to help build a strong and vibrant school. Annually, the NIS PTA organises a broad number of inclusive community events to foster NIS spirit, promote cultural exchanges, and raise funds for student and community activities.
Regular meetings and PTA Coffee Mornings are held in the Centre Cafe during the year to help keep our parent community connected with the school.

The Centre
The Centre building is much more than just the main entrance to NIS – it is a wonderful and inclusive bridge to our parent community. Unique to Nanjing and most schools around the world, the Centre provides facilities and community spaces open to our families during and after the school day. The Centre Cafe offers a lovely hangout for parents in a cozy environment. With two multipurpose rooms and our Aerobic and Dance Studio for Community Activities, a fully equipped Fitness Room, and access to our swimming pools, we support the wellness of our parents and families like nowhere else.

Community Activities
Our Community Activities Programme has been designed to support all members of our NIS Community. There is a wide range of activities throughout the school year for parents and students.
